I'm Jesse J. Smith, a Post-Genre Cyborg music artist born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

I GENUINELY love music, and have an even deeper resentment for AI-slop "artists" releasing fully generated, low-effort, unedited, entirely AI-written trash.

AI can never replace the piece of your soul that goes into writing a song. It should only EVER be a tool/instrument, not a replacement for actually being an artist.

To me, AI slop is this era's mumble rap. Different technology, same problem: strip away the craft, let the trend carry it, and pretend the lack of substance is innovation.

That's why slop lands like booty and everybody can smell that dookie. 🤷🏾‍♂️🤣

Mumble rap got its spotlight for a fraction of a second, so I guess anything is possible.

So... Post-Genre Cyborg?

Cyborg means my actual lyrics, vocals, composition choices, multiple AI tools, DAWs, sampling and still-developing production skills.

Post-Genre means genre is a toolbox, not a set of rules.

My music is entirely selfish. I don't care to make meaningless music to feed people whatever's trending on TikTok. I make what I want to hear, whether anybody else understands it or not.

The sound changes because the emotion changes. One genre might carry a song. Or the song mutates halfway through.

I make music first and let everyone else argue about what box it belongs in.
